Peppermint ORGANIC Hydrosol
Peppermint ORGANIC Hydrosol
- Refreshing and cooling
- Soothes irritated, inflamed skin
- Encourages mental alertness
Description
Peppermint Hydrosol comes from the freshly distilled aerial parts of the Mentha x piperita plant. Its familiar minty aroma has slightly deep, earthy notes, giving it a different aroma than Peppermint Essential Oil. Prized for its cooling properties, this hydrosol helps instantly revitalize the mind and body, helping you to feel alert and focused. It is often used for sore, tense muscles and the aches and pains that can follow a strenuous day or tough workout. This invigorating hydrosol is also excellent for foot balms, a relaxing foot bath, or a cooling foot spray that will leave your feet feeling refreshed after a long day.
Hydrosols are the aromatic remains following a plant’s steam distillation process. They consist entirely of cellular botanical water, which includes unique water-loving (hydrophilic) compounds that provide each hydrosol with distinct characteristics and benefits. While sharing many commonalities with their essential oil counterpart, their molecular makeup is unique enough that hydrosols often have very different aromatic profiles compared to the oil.
Made from 100% naturally-derived ingredients, this product includes 98% organic Peppermint hydrosol. To ensure the safety of this product and prevent microbial growth, 2% preservative is added (Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate & Water).
Directions
To help calm irritated or itchy skin, spray the hydosol directly onto the area(s) of concern or soak a cotton round or clean cloth in the hydrosol and apply where needed. The cooling properties also offer relief to sore, achy muscles.
Remove makeup or clean skin by first massaging your favorite carrier oil gently onto your face. Add the hydrosol to a cotton round and wipe away the oil, makeup, and other impurities, while helping to refresh and tone.
Spray into air or onto self to enjoy the refreshing, awakening aroma.
Hydrosols are often used in creating body and bath products, room sprays, and linen mists. They are also popular for use in other herbal preparations.
